Principal Technical DevOps Coach

Act as a technical expert and mentor to drive modern engineering and DevOps practices across multiple teams in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

• Coach engineers, architects, and leadership through hands-on pairing, mobbing, and immersive learning sessions.
• Design and implement coaching interventions to improve engineering culture and customer delivery.
• Embed with teams to observe environments and identify opportunities for technical and process improvements.
• Develop facilitator-led materials focused on modern engineering practices and ways of working.
• Write and deploy code daily to demonstrate technical excellence and advocate for developer experience improvements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years supporting high-performing Agile and DevOps teams.
• Proven experience in a technical coaching capacity.
• Mastery of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and proficiency in DevOps and debugging.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies including Extreme Programming, Kanban, or Scrum.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
• Demonstrated expertise in multiple programming languages.
• Experience deploying and supporting internet-scale distributed systems or high-volume client/server systems.
• Ability to scrutinize architectures and suggest optimizations for deployment and cost of change.
• Any graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of the Testing Pyramid, multi-threading, concurrency, and performance profiling.
• Experience with object-oriented and service-oriented application development patterns.
