Description

Lead the technical architecture, development direction, and engineering activities for video acquisition systems across RF and Fiber networks.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain video acquisition systems to enhance company-wide video solutions.
• Design and implement electronic systems, including audio, video, and multimedia equipment.
• Lead testing for new firmware, software, and hardware through functional and performance-based test plans.
• Direct cross-functional technical teams to deliver business-critical projects and define the technical roadmap for Video Operations.
• Manage vendor relationships and collaborate with field teams to resolve design flaws and implement network projects.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 10 years focused on video signal acquisition.
• 8+ years of project management experience.
• Expertise in video compression (MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H264, HEVC, J2K) and audio compression (Dolby AC3, Dolby Digital Plus, AAC).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco DCMs, Arris CAP/DM6400, BMRs, BNPs, APEX1k-3k, IRDs, and common cable CPE.
• Proficiency with IGMP, IP multicast, VOD, IPTV, cloud encoding, and HLS live streaming packaging.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and BASH scripting.
• Experience with Cisco and Juniper routers/switches, including network planning and device turn-up.
• Experience with Arris (DAC) or Cisco (DNCS) video delivery systems and optical transport platforms like Cisco ONTs or Infinera DTN/DTNx/Flex.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
