Design and implement modular automation frameworks and digital execution systems for GxP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Operate within GxP/GMP-regulated environments, collaborating with automation engineers, Process Engineers, and site leadership.
• Apply AI-enabled analysis and knowledge systems to support decision-making in technical contexts.
• Bridge process knowledge with digital execution systems, minimizing over-reliance on custom application development.
• Design modular, reusable technical frameworks for tech transfer, recipe design, and batch execution workflows.
• Engage iteratively with real process examples and user feedback to refine automation strategies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in process automation, digital manufacturing, or related technical disciplines.
• Hands-on understanding of MES, DeltaV, and related automation platforms.
• Experience with data integration, data modeling, information architecture, and knowledge representation.
• Strong background in process translation, execution, and manufacturing automation.
• Proven ability to design reusable frameworks rather than one-off implementations.
• Pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing experience, ideally in biologics, advanced therapies, or greenfield facility commissioning.
• Small-molecule experience and multi-modality exposure are beneficial.
