Description

You will lead process design and development activities within R&D project teams to ensure seamless transitions from development to production.

Responsibilities

• Estimate budgets and timelines for all process design and development activities on assigned projects.
• Design and fabricate prototype equipment, fixtures, and tools to support manual, semi-automated, and automated assembly.
• Develop and implement new technologies for fabrication and testing, including the integration of automation and robotics.
• Create CAD files and documentation for electro-mechanical assembly and final testing processes.
• Execute process validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ and lead bench testing method creation.
• Apply Six Sigma methodologies and risk management tools like FMEA and Fault Tree Analysis to optimize process designs.
• Maintain Process Flow Diagrams, standard operating procedures, and test methods for design verification.
• Coordinate R&D pilot line builds and support manufacturing transfer activities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in process design and development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, specifically Creo Parametric modules (ISDX, Simulate, Pro-Process, Sheet Metal, Mechanism) using top-down design and master model methodology.
• Experience designing plastic, die cast, sheet metal, and machine components.
• Hands-on experience with robotics and vision systems.
• Technical knowledge of laser welding and automated manufacturing processes.
• Ability to use Microsoft Tools for project documentation and communication.
• Experience with Six Sigma (DMAIC/DFSS) and risk management tools (FMEA, FTA).
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and communicate project risks to leadership.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SolidWorks.
