Description

Lead process design and development within R&D project teams to ensure seamless transitions from development to production.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate budgets and timelines for process design and development activities on assigned projects.
  • Design and fabricate prototype equipment, fixtures, and tools for manual, semi-automated, and automated assembly.
  • Develop and implement new fabrication and testing technologies, including automation and robotics integration.
  • Execute process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and lead the creation of bench testing methods.
  • Coordinate R&D pilot line builds and support manufacturing transfer activities.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in process design and development.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, specifically Creo Parametric modules (ISDX, Simulate, Pro-Process, Sheet Metal, Mechanism) using top-down design and master model methodology.
  • Experience designing plastic, die cast, sheet metal, and machine components.
  • Hands-on experience with robotics and vision systems.
  • Technical knowledge of laser welding and automated manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Six Sigma (DMAIC/DFSS) and risk management tools (FMEA, FTA).
  • Ability to use Microsoft Tools for project documentation and communication.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and communicate project risks to leadership.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SolidWorks.
