Drive process engineering research, development, and evaluation for complex semiconductor capital equipment and systems.
Responsibilities
Execute professional research and development to evaluate processing techniques used in product manufacture and fabrication.
Conceive and plan projects involving the selection of new concepts and approaches for process development.
Compile and evaluate test data to define limits and variables for process specifications.
Support customer technology managers with data collection, analysis, and reporting for customer demos.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure availability of required parts and supplies.
Required Skills
Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics; or M.S. with 3+ years of relevant work experience; or B.S. with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Working knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and react to shifting priorities to meet deadlines.
Experience working effectively within diverse teams and matrix environments.
Ability to lead small projects and serve as a technical resource for less experienced colleagues.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with working in a chemical laboratory.
Experience in surface preparation and analytical techniques.
