You will optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
Responsibilities
Develop and refine manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and equipment requirements.
Lead process design and modification efforts to reduce cycle time, scrap, rework, and overall costs.
Troubleshoot and resolve process issues, including mold repair and equipment maintenance.
Design, develop, and test tools, machinery, and equipment to support recommended manufacturing methods.
Collaborate with Engineering and Quality departments to ensure compliance with change management, product deviation release, and technical change processes.
Create standard operating procedures and provide technical assistance and training to production teams.
Required Skills
5+ years of manufacturing experience specifically relating to plastic injection molding and rubber compression molding.
3+ years of engineering experience in a continuous improvement production environment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software.
Working knowledge of Core Tools used to support Quality Management systems.
Experience with Engel injection molding machines and plastic injection molding processes.
Ability to read and interpret complex product drawings.
Strong process analysis and troubleshooting capabilities for manufacturing equipment.
Knowledge of Six Sigma concepts and/or Lean manufacturing techniques.
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Preferred Skills
Experience managing Process Technician activity and scheduling.
Proven track record of leading new process and material development initiatives.
