Description

You will optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to improve productivity, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and equipment requirements.
• Lead process design and modification efforts to reduce cycle time, scrap, rework, and overall costs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process issues, including mold repair and equipment maintenance.
• Design, develop, and test tools, machinery, and equipment to support recommended manufacturing methods.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality departments to ensure compliance with change management, product deviation release, and technical change processes.
• Create standard operating procedures and provide technical assistance and training to production teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience specifically relating to plastic injection molding and rubber compression molding.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in a continuous improvement production environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software.
• Working knowledge of Core Tools used to support Quality Management systems.
• Experience with Engel injection molding machines and plastic injection molding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex product drawings.
• Strong process analysis and troubleshooting capabilities for manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma concepts and/or Lean manufacturing techniques.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing Process Technician activity and scheduling.
• Proven track record of leading new process and material development initiatives.
