Description

Direct engineering functions to support new product development and improve existing product lines in an automotive manufacturing environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise assembly processes for mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.
• Manage new product launches and continuous improvement projects using root cause analysis, flowcharts, and fishbone diagrams.
• Track process metrics including cycle times, scrap performance, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
• Execute destructive and nondestructive testing to measure performance and life characteristics.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Functional knowledge of CNC programming in close tolerance applications.
• Proficiency in PLC nomenclature and programming.
• Experience with ISO 14001 standards and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret part drawings and apply statistical quality control procedures.
• Knowledge of FMEA procedure and development.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.
• Technical aptitude in CNC programming, CBN grinding, tool regrinding, and chip handling.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of ergonomics and capital budgeting.
• Experience with capital procurement and maintenance systems.
