Description

You will manage wafer preparation and reactor operation for thin film processes and experimentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare wafers for experimentation through cleaning, loading, and setting up reactors for process runs.
• Operate scanning electron microscopes (SEM) for cross-section, top view, critical dimension (CD), or EDS analysis.
• Prepare cross-section samples for SEM analysis and guide requestors on optimized sample preparation and cutting locations.
• Maintain process systems through routine maintenance, including flash and plasma cleaning, and perform system software alignments.
• Record process conditions and experimental observations, summarizing results in graphs and tables.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in process or laboratory environments.
• Hands-on experience operating scanning electron microscopes (SEM).
• Proficiency with EDS and EDX analysis.
• Knowledge of SEM principles and sample/beam interaction.
• Ability to perform quantitative wafer evaluation and use process instrumentation.
• Experience with routine reactor maintenance and shutdown procedures.
• Ability to monitor wafer in process (WIP) and maintain throughput.
• Coordinate with vendors, purchasing, and engineering to manage equipment, supplies, and instrument repairs.
