Description

You will manage the end-to-end procurement process for medical products, supplies, and services within the health system.

Responsibilities

• Analyze departmental requisitions, quotes, invoices, and purchase orders to ensure compliance with hospital policies and technical specifications.
• Negotiate purchase orders, contracts, and service agreements to achieve optimal cost and quality.
• Generate and issue purchase orders for operational and capital materials, including medical equipment and technical supplies.
• Validate supplier compliance requirements, including HIPAA Business Associate Addendums, Data Security, and Certificates of Insurance.
• Collaborate with individual departments to ensure requisition accuracy and timely delivery of goods and services.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
• Advanced knowledge of purchasing practices, business law, economics, and accounting.
• Proficiency in using automated purchasing systems and computerized data management.
• Experience writing specifications for highly technical and customized high-technology equipment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data analysis and business intelligence.
• Effective oral and written communication skills for diplomatic negotiation and vendor interaction.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for travel to various facilities and vendor locations.
