Description

Perform failure analysis on explanted biomedical implants to identify root cause mechanisms and drive quality improvements.

Responsibilities

• Execute failure analysis on long-term biomedical implants to identify root cause failure mechanisms.
• Develop and implement investigative protocols using analytical and creative techniques.
• Perform circuit analysis and device and component-level failure analysis.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Surveillance teams.
• Mentor lab staff and assign work to solve complex problems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in product analysis or failure analysis.
• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Engineering, Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience with circuit analysis and component-level failure investigation.
• Ability to apply theoretical principles to identify root causes in complex systems.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, and database management applications.
• Experience working within FDA regulations and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in Biomedical Engineering.
