Description

You will design and develop scientific equipment, owning manufacturability, quality, and cost management throughout the product lifecycle.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design manufacturable products from briefs, applying appropriate tolerances for maintainable quality.
• Optimize component designs for CNC machining (3-axis and 5-axis), sheet metal forming, CNC turning, and 3D printing.
• Source and manage manufacturers and suppliers to achieve optimal price/performance.
• Produce technical documentation and manage version control for parts and assemblies.
• Own the quality and cost management of final assembled products.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in an engineering design role using CAD regularly.
• Expertise in the capabilities and tolerances of various manufacturing processes, specifically CNC.
• Proficiency in CNC machining, CNC turning, and 3D printing.
• Strong understanding of product engineering principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Ability to work independently to solve technical problems and manage product lifecycles.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering subject.
• Experience in additive manufacturing.
• Experience in product data management.
