Description

Design and develop scientific equipment with a focus on manufacturability and quality.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design manufacturable products based on briefs, applying appropriate tolerances.
• Optimize components for CNC machining (3-axis/5-axis), sheet metal forming, turning, and 3D printing.
• Source manufacturers to achieve optimal price/performance.
• Produce technical documentation and manage version control.
• Own the quality and cost of final assembled products.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering design.
• Expertise in CAD software used regularly.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing capabilities and tolerances, specifically CNC.
• Proficiency in CNC turning.
• Experience with sheet metal forming.
• Experience with 3D printing.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation organization skills.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering subject.
• Experience in product data management.
• Experience in additive manufacturing.
