Description

Design and develop Java-based core banking systems, focusing on integration, event-driven microservices, and cloud-native architecture.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build microservices and event-driven components using Apache Kafka and RESTful APIs.
• Implement container orchestration with Kubernetes and apply cloud-native architecture principles.
• Apply DevOps practices for reliable delivery, troubleshooting, and operational readiness of backend services.
• Develop and document APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI and support performance testing activities.

Required Skills

• 7-15 years of software development experience with strong Java expertise.
• Deep experience with Apache Kafka for event streaming and integration patterns.
• Proficiency in container orchestration (Kubernetes) and microservices/cloud-native architectures.
• Strong skills in RESTful API development (JAX-RS, JSON) with debugging and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and data migration.

Preferred Skills

• AWS or Azure cloud exposure and experience with Java EE, Struts, or Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL), Angular, GitHub, and JMeter.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
