Description

You will own the end-to-end conceptual design and development of bearing components and assemblies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create and release engineering drawings and bills of materials using Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes.
• Develop generic bearing models to generate variants and drive modular design digitalization.
• Define engineering requirement specifications, project schedules, and prototype drawing releases.
• Manage 3D modeling and CAD data within Windchill (PDM) and established PLM workflows.
• Coordinate with vendors for purchase orders and collaborate with lab engineers on performance testing.

Required Skills

• 3 to 6 years of experience in mechanical or production engineering.
• Proficiency in Creo for modeling, assembly, and detailing.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and interference calculations.
• Experience applying Geometric Product Specification (GPS) including dimensional, form, and surface tolerances.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing and machining processes.
• Ability to select materials based on specific application and design behavior properties.
• Knowledge of metrology, metallurgy, and measurement principles for manufacturing.
• Experience with PDM/PLM workflows and Engineering Change Management.
• Understanding of PDP processes and quality requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Design Automation, Map keys, UDFs, Pro-Programming, or Pro-Toolkit.
• Knowledge of DMAIC, DFSS, ISO 9001, or ISO/TS 16949.
• Background in Project Management and systems engineering for large assemblies.
