Description

You will design, develop, and optimize commercial vehicle transport products, ensuring structural integrity and manufacturing feasibility.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead parametric solid modeling and design of large weldments and sheet metal components using SolidWorks.
• Perform structural analysis to validate designs against regulatory standards including FMVSS 108 and FMVSS 121.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate pneumatics and air brake systems into transport products.
• Apply ASME BPVC VIII Div. 1 principles for pressure vessel design where applicable.
• Resolve engineering challenges with strong attention to detail and effective communication.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or related engineering discipline.
• 1–3 years of direct experience in the commercial vehicle transportation industry.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience with parametric solid modeling, preferably SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis, large weldments, and sheet metal design.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of FMVSS 108 (Lamps) and FMVSS 121 (Air Brake Systems) standards.
• Effective problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience or familiarity with ASME BPVC VIII Div. 1 (Design of Pressure Vessels).
