Key Responsibilities
• Own the product vision, roadmap and prioritized backlog for Regulatory Trade Reporting.
• Translate regulatory obligations and business requirements into epics, features, user stories and measurable acceptance criteria.
• Act as the primary functional decision-maker for delivery teams.
• Work with Compliance, Legal, Operations and Technology stakeholders to interpret regulatory changes and assess their impact.
• Lead requirements analysis across trade capture, enrichment, eligibility determination, report generation, submission, acknowledgements and exception management.
• Ensure accurate mapping of trade and reference data to regulatory reporting fields.
• Define business rules covering reportability, jurisdiction, counterparty classification, lifecycle events and submission timelines.
• Support reporting obligations across relevant jurisdictions, such as ASIC, MAS, CFTC, SEC, EMIR and other global regimes.
• Drive backlog refinement, sprint planning, showcases, release planning and business acceptance.
• Manage dependencies across source platforms, reporting engines, data platforms, trade repositories and downstream controls.
• Partner with engineering and QA teams to define functional test scenarios and expected outcomes.
• Support reconciliation, data-quality monitoring, exception management and remediation of reporting breaks.
• Analyse production incidents and regulatory breaches, prioritize corrective actions and drive root-cause resolution.
• Maintain traceability between regulatory requirements, business rules, implementation stories and test evidence.
• Provide clear status reporting on delivery progress, risks, dependencies and regulatory deadlines.
Required Skills and Experience
• 10+ years of experience in Financial Markets, Capital Markets or Investment Banking technology.
• At least 5 years of direct experience in Regulatory Trade Reporting.
• Strong functional understanding of OTC derivatives, exchange-traded derivatives, securities, fixed income, FX and related lifecycle events.
• Good knowledge of one or more reporting regimes, preferably ASIC, MAS, CFTC, SEC, EMIR or MiFIR.
• Strong understanding of trade-reporting concepts such as UTI, UPI, LEI, product classification, counterparty classification, valuations, collateral and lifecycle reporting.
• Experience with trade repositories and reporting platforms.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst or Functional Lead in an Agile delivery environment.
• Strong capability in requirements elicitation, data analysis, field mapping and functional specification.
• Ability to interpret regulatory rules and convert them into implementable business requirements.
• Experience managing product backlogs and defining high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills across business, compliance, operations and technology teams.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience analysing trade and reporting data.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and decision-making skills.
Preferred Experience
• Experience delivering regulatory change or remediation programmes for a global bank.
• Exposure to platforms such as Murex, Calypso, ION, DTCC, UnaVista, REGIS-TR or equivalent reporting solutions.
• Familiarity with ISO 20022, common data models and regulatory reporting message formats.
• Experience with data lineage, control frameworks, reconciliations and regulatory assurance.
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data-engineering environments.
• Product Owner, Scrum, Business Analysis or Financial Markets certification would be advantageous.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, CBAP, CFA, FRM or equivalent are desirable
