Description

You own the product backlog and bridge business stakeholders with technical teams to align on scope, priorities, and deliverables.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define, refine, and prioritize user stories and epics based on business value and stakeholder input.
• Lead requirements elicitation through interviews, workshops, and JAD sessions, documenting findings in BRDs, FRDs, and user stories.
• Partner with underwriting, product, operations, and compliance teams to capture business and regulatory requirements accurately.
• Clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and validate functional behavior during testing cycles with development and QA.
• Support UAT planning, review test cases, and facilitate sign-offs while contributing to MVP definition and roadmap planning.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in the U.S. P&C insurance domain.
• Hands-on experience across the policy lifecycle: quoting, underwriting, binding, issuance, servicing, endorsements, and renewals.
• Strong understanding of underwriting, rating, and product configuration concepts.
• Proven experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Miro, and MS Office Suite.
• Experience in requirements elicitation and documentation (BRDs, FRDs, use cases, process flows).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technology teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with commercial and specialty lines insurers.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards in the insurance domain.
