Key Responsibilities
Own the end‑to‑end product backlog for US Payroll and Time & Labor systems.
Define and prioritize features, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on business value and compliance needs.
Act as the primary liaison between HR, Payroll Operations, Finance, Legal/Compliance, and IT.
Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local payroll and labor regulations (FLSA, tax rules, wage & hour, overtime).
Partner with implementation and support teams on enhancements, integrations, and defect resolution.
Support payroll cycles, audits, and year‑end activities from a product standpoint.
Lead UAT planning and execution, including payroll parallel testing.
Manage vendor relationships (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG, Oracle, SAP, or similar).
Track KPIs such as payroll accuracy, cycle time, defect leakage, and user satisfaction.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in Payroll / Time & Labor systems, with at least 3+ years as a Product Owner or similar role.
Strong hands-on knowledge of US Payroll processing and compliance.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Proven ability to translate complex payroll rules into clear functional requirements.
Experience with enterprise HRIS / Payroll platforms.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
