Description

Own the end-to-end product backlog for US Payroll and Time & Labor systems, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize features, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on business value and compliance needs.
• Act as the primary liaison between HR, Payroll Operations, Finance, Legal/Compliance, and IT.
• Partner with implementation and support teams on enhancements, integrations, and defect resolution.
• Lead UAT planning and execution, including payroll parallel testing, and support audits and year-end activities.
• Manage vendor relationships and track KPIs such as payroll accuracy, cycle time, and defect leakage.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Payroll / Time & Labor systems.
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of US Payroll processing and compliance (FLSA, tax rules, wage & hour, overtime).
• Experience with enterprise HRIS / Payroll platforms including ADP, Workday, UKG, Oracle, or SAP.
• Proven ability to translate complex payroll rules into clear functional requirements.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
