Description

You will own operational stability and support for the Fidessa application across trading, sales, and middle office functions.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support all production system components and infrastructure for the trading floor environment.
• Troubleshoot complex technical and functional issues across global applications to ensure timely resolution.
• Develop and maintain system scripts and custom real-time monitoring tools to automate operational tasks.
• Respond to incidents and events to ensure system availability, performance, and capacity.
• Collaborate with global development and application support teams in various international locations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Proficiency with UNIX/Linux (Sysadmin, Shell Scripting) and Windows environments.
• Expert SQL skills with relational databases (Sybase experience required).
• Strong scripting ability using languages like Shell, Tcl, or Perl.
• Working knowledge of Python for issue troubleshooting and development.
• Familiarity with Agile and Continuous delivery principles.
• Experience with source control management systems (GIT or Subversion).
• Understanding of Capital Market and Investment Banking activities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting Fidessa or similar high-frequency trading platforms.
