Description

You will own the stability and performance of critical payment systems in a 24/7 environment. You resolve complex incidents, drive root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to ensure system resilience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve critical incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage application maintenance, including performance tuning, backups, and retirement of outdated systems.
• Monitor system health using run books, adjusting alerts and performing corrective actions to maintain uptime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce quality standards during development and implementation.
• Lead disaster recovery testing and post-implementation reviews to ensure system resilience.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of software experience with strong Java backend development skills.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and SRE concepts (resilience, fault tolerance).
• Strong database knowledge: NoSQL (Couchbase) and Relational DBs (PostgreSQL).
• Proficiency with observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and ELK logging.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Gradle.
• Domain knowledge of Cards Payments systems, including E2E workflows for authorization, clearing, and reconciliation.
