Description

Ensure stability, performance, and availability of Java and Node.js production applications through incident management, troubleshooting, and proactive monitoring.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve production incidents, debugging code and analyzing logs to identify root causes.
• Set up and manage monitoring tools to track application performance, resource utilization, and error rates.
• Perform routine maintenance, including applying bug fixes, code reviews, and configuration adjustments.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in application code or infrastructure to minimize downtime.
• Create and maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures, runbooks, and common issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in production support or SRE roles.
• Strong proficiency in Java, including JVM, Spring Framework, and WebSockets.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools: Splunk, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
