Description

You will provide oversight, leadership, and accountability for large-scale, complex projects involving vendor participation and system integration.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex project schedules and integration requirements for projects exceeding six months in duration.
• Ensure alignment with State of Michigan (SOM) project management (SUITE), investment management, and systems engineering methodologies.
• Execute long-term release planning based on organizational direction.
• Monitor budget, quality, and schedule status through regular interaction with project management teams.
• Escalate risks and issues to executives while performing quality control to maintain project scope.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Project Management experience.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, web, and virtual/cloud environments.
• Knowledge of network communication components such as Firewalls, VIP, F5 Listeners, and Ports.
• Ability to evaluate technical requirements and propose solutions meeting business objectives and industry standards.
• Experience managing teams of 20 or more members on medium to high-risk projects.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate level education.

Preferred Skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
