Description

Own the technical strategy, deployment, and reliability of the Apigee X and GCP API integration platform. You will engineer the infrastructure, automate the lifecycle, and enforce governance at scale.

Responsibilities

• Implement enterprise API platform strategy, designing and maintaining Apigee X and GCP infrastructure architecture.
• Deploy Dispatcher and GCP components using Terraform, ensuring consistency across environments.
• Configure Google Cloud load balancers, Private Service Connect (PSC), Secure Web Proxy (SWP), and Managed Instance Groups for secure, scalable traffic management.
• Build automation tooling and CI/CD pipelines using Python, GitHub Actions, and GitOps practices for API proxy validation and linting.
• Monitor platform health using Splunk and Dynatrace, troubleshooting infrastructure issues and optimizing API performance.

Required Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience with Apigee X, including design, build, and deployment of APIs and API Products.
• Strong expertise in GCP architecture, including load balancing, PSC, and Managed Instance Groups.
• Proficient in Python scripting for API lifecycle automation, linting rules, and integration tooling.
• Demonstrated proficiency with GitHub and GitOps practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline automation using GitHub Actions.
• Strong knowledge of API governance, security policies (OAuth 2.0+), and OpenAPI/SwaggerHub specifications.
• Experience with JFrog Artifactory for artifact management and HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.
• 10+ years of professional experience in API management or platform engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Docker, containerized services, and cloud-native runtime environments.
• Knowledge of API performance tuning, caching strategies, and firewall configuration.
• Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification.
