Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design project plans identifying needs and defining major tasks and milestones based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel
  • Apply thorough knowledge of project management methodology to ensure collaboration, transparency, and feedback loops
  • Develop, adjust, and revise estimates across planning, analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation
  • Manage risk and scope to define, monitor, and control scope, budget, and timelines in high-risk modernization scenarios
  • Maintain strong interpersonal alignment across sponsors, developers, operations, and end users through clear program metrics reporting
  • Apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving to address technical debt, integration challenges, and unforeseen dependencies
  • Communicate project timelines, milestones, phases, work requests, target dates, and approved work packages to team leaders

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of application architecture, refactoring, re-architecting, or rebuilding strategies
  • Legacy systems analysis and integration points to determine modernization path
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, microservices, and modern DevOps practices
  • Proficiency with project & portfolio management tools (Clarity PPM, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, or similar)

Required Qualifications:

  • 7–8 years of relevant experience, including past projects involving legacy system migration, re-factoring, or modernization
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across development, operations, security, and business needs
  • 4-year college degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with a focus on Technology
  • At least one Project Management certification (PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent); Agile/Scrum certifications strengthen candidacy
  • Ability to work hybrid in Columbus, OH and report onsite as needed
  • Must be located within the United States (government equipment restrictions apply)
  • Must be willing to undergo a fingerprint background check
