Description

Owns program planning, execution, and risk management for legacy modernization and migration projects. You will align cross-functional teams, control scope and budget, and drive technical debt resolution.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design project plans defining tasks, milestones, and resource allocation based on scope and budget.
• Manage risk, scope, and estimates across planning, testing, and implementation phases.
• Monitor and control timelines, budgets, and modernization scenarios in high-risk environments.
• Align sponsors, developers, and operations through clear metrics and transparent communication.
• Resolve technical debt, integration challenges, and unforeseen dependencies.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of relevant experience in project management.
• Proven experience leading legacy system migration, refactoring, or modernization projects.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across development, operations, security, and business units.
• Proficiency with project and portfolio management tools such as Clarity PPM, Azure DevOps, or SharePoint.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, refactoring strategies, and legacy system integration points.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, microservices, and modern DevOps practices.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with a focus on Technology.
• Active Project Management certification (PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent).

Preferred Skills

• Agile/Scrum certifications.
• Experience with government equipment restrictions and compliance.
