Description

Lead product policy initiatives to ensure safety, integrity, privacy, and transparency across product ecosystems. You will provide ongoing policy counseling for new features, including Reels, media creation tools, and recommendation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide policy guidance on safety, fairness, and human rights for new product launches.
• Identify and analyze policy issues at state, national, and international levels with Public Policy teams.
• Draft new policies and collaborate with operations to build enforcement flows.
• Address escalations and press inquiries while maintaining consistent policy approaches.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Public Affairs, Public Administration, Legal, Political Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in tech product development, policy, law, media, government, or journalism.
• Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and experience working directly with product teams.
• Experience addressing algorithmic transparency issues from technical and regulatory perspectives.
• Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects and build consensus across cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience focusing on technology, media regulation, or news publishing.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced degree in Public Policy, Public Affairs, Public Administration, Legal, or Political Science.
• Experience with online messaging and video broadcasting platforms.
• Background in policy risk assessment and managing time-sensitive escalations.
