Description

You will lead oversight, accountability, and project management functions for large-scale, complex IT projects.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex project schedules and system integrations involving in-house development or vendor participation.
• Ensure consistency with State of Michigan project management, investment management, and systems engineering methodologies (SUITE).
• Perform long-term release planning aligned with organizational direction.
• Monitor budget, quality, and schedule status through regular interaction with project management teams.
• Escalate risks and issues to executives and execute quality control to meet project scope expectations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of recent Project Management experience.
• Documented experience managing IT projects within large, complex, enterprise-governed environments.
• Proficiency in Investment Management and project documentation.
• Strong leadership and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate proactively with Agency Leadership.
• Experience working within structured state processes and under portfolio management oversight.

Preferred Skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• 5+ years of Agile experience.
