Description

You will lead the end-to-end delivery of the End Client's Snowflake to BigQuery migration program.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration program, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality targets are met.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the End Client's data engineering organization, offshore development teams in India, Google Cloud, and implementation partners.
• Manage program governance, including steering committee meetings, milestone tracking, risk registers, and decision logs.
• Define and prioritize the migration roadmap with data engineering, platform, BI, and analytics teams, covering schemas, pipelines, and dependencies.
• Act as the single point of contact for all program communications, translating technical progress into business impact narratives for leadership.

Required Skills

• 10+ years in technical program or project management within data engineering or cloud platform environments.
• Proven track record leading large-scale data platform migrations (Snowflake or Redshift to BigQuery).
• Deep understanding of data ecosystems: data pipelines, ETL/ELT, data modeling (dbt), and BI/reporting platforms (Looker, Tableau).
• Experience managing distributed engineering teams, specifically offshore teams in India.
• Strong ability to engage cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and business executives.
• Proficiency in creating executive summaries and technical delivery plans.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform: BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Looker, Vertex AI.
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools: Dbt, Airflow, GitHub, Terraform.
