Description

You will lead Java development efforts, translating business requirements into functional software and replacing legacy COBOL functions. This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and implement Java application components, ensuring stability and functionality.
• Collaborate with the team to build Java solutions that replace legacy COBOL systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues while maintaining security integrity.
• Coordinate programming activities across the team and resolve technical conflicts with stakeholders.
• Write, test, and document application code.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java (versions 8, 11, or 17+).
• Expertise with Java frameworks, including Spring and Spring Boot.
• Experience implementing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Gradle).
• Familiarity with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles.
• Experience with Docker and containerization concepts.
