Description

You will support and modernize the Syndromic Surveillance (SS) module within the Georgia State Electronic Notifiable Disease Surveillance System (SendSS).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the SS module mechanics, working with the retiring legacy developer to understand existing functionality.
• Continue supporting staff users of the SS module while redesigning functionality in the Oracle Apex Framework.
• Develop and modernize the system, moving away from PL/SQL towards Oracle Apex implementation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL programming.
• 5+ years developing web application front ends using hand-coded HTML and JavaScript.
• 5+ years experience with the full project lifecycle in implementing web-based systems.
• 5+ years of work experience with Oracle RDBMS.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and exercising good judgment while working with minimal supervision.
• Experience developing applications using Oracle, Pl/sql, Javascript, Html, and Rdbms.
