Description

You will develop and maintain mainframe applications for payment transaction settlement, focusing on credit and debit card processing.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and tune COBOL program logic for batch and online applications.
• Design functional and technical specifications, including HLD and DDD, for payment projects.
• Execute unit testing using IDMS, DB2, JCL, PROCs, and VSAM to ensure code stability.
• Lead hardware and software upgrades, disaster recovery procedures, and system audits.
• Manage project deliverables by assigning resources and providing technical leadership.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of mainframe experience.
• Proficiency in COBOL, IBM JCL, CA7, and VSAM.
• Experience with IDMS, DB2, REXX, and EasyTrieve.
• Knowledge of utilities: Endevor, File Master, Dispatch, View, UniTech, and Remedy.
• Experience with MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and Diner's International merchant acquiring and settlement.
• Working knowledge of the Waterfall Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to create detailed technical design documentation and present to stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in merchant acquiring systems and international credit/debit card processing.
• Functional-technical knowledge of payment authorization, fraud detection, and smart routing.
