Description

You will own production support, debugging, and modification of complex vendor applications in a 24/7 environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, debugging, and modification of software applications to validate integration and efficiency.
• Support complex software including utility programs, job control language, macros, and subroutines.
• Collaborate with external vendors and technical teams to interface with internal applications.
• Manage operating systems, software products, and subsystems for network, performance, and capacity management.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide technical support for programming and operations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of IT production support experience for vendor applications.
• Proficiency in Windows and UNIX environments.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, KSH, Bash, Perl, or WLS.
• Experience with Oracle SQL and writing database queries.
• Knowledge of job schedulers to create tasks and processes.
• Experience with version control practices and tools.
• Understanding of JVMs and IT system administration best practices.
• Understanding of system change control processes.
• Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Zenoss, or Splunk to identify root causes for performance issues.
• Zena experience.
