Description

You will lead the modernization of legacy Oracle-based applications by refactoring code, migrating data, and updating user interfaces for cloud compatibility.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document existing application architecture, workflows, data models, and stored procedures.
• Refactor and optimize Oracle PL/SQL packages, functions, triggers, and views for cloud migration.
• Migrate legacy Crystal Reports to modern reporting platforms compatible with AWS.
• Perform data extraction, mapping, validation, and transformation for ETL and database conversion.
• Convert legacy DHTML-based UI forms into modern web formats and refactor core application logic.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL (procedures, functions, triggers, packages, views).
• Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with data migration, ETL workflows, and schema transformation.
• Ability to analyze and understand legacy or undocumented application logic.
• Familiarity with legacy front-end technologies (DHTML, HTML, JavaScript forms).
• Experience with task schedulers and data automation processes.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS database and reporting services, Power BI, or AWS QuickSight.
• Scripting experience with Python or PowerShell.
• Background in Offender Management or Justice Systems.
