Description

You will manage capital investments for fixed assets, overseeing projects from initial conceptual studies through to closeout.

Responsibilities

• Manage the relocation, optimization, and purchase of fixed assets using cross-functional teams.
• Drive hygienic engineering, GMP, and safety standards including NQS, HACCP, and OSHA compliance.
• Lead design phases to ensure plant layouts and equipment selections meet business purposes and long-term sustainability.
• Execute Value Engineering Analysis (VEA) studies to find optimal, low-cost, and highly efficient solutions.
• Prepare projects for approval in accordance with capital investment guidelines and manage CAPEX budgeting.

Required Skills

• Degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on engineering experience.
• 1-3 years of technical experience with a project engineering background.
• Experience in plant design, construction, and equipment/construction purchasing contracts.
• Knowledge of dry powder processing, packaging technologies, and hygienic/sanitary design.
• Understanding of 3A standards, powder handling, and food safety regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel, Basic AutoCAD, and Visio.
• Ability to work onsite in Waverly, IA, with up to 5% travel for factory acceptance testing.
• Experience in managing internal and external project team members.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in food & dairy, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or consumer products industries.
• Knowledge of TPM (AM/EM Pillars) and financial analysis regarding business drivers.
