Description

You will function as the Project Engineer on marine or heavy civil construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Support enforcement of MSHA, OSHA, Corps of Engineers, and company safety policies.
• Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Work onsite to assist superintendent and foremen in executing daily work activities.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of crew activities, production quantities, and equipment usage.
• Perform progress surveys to verify installation of work and assemble necessary maps.

Required Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of combined experience in Field Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Superintendent, Construction Manager, or Project Manager roles on marine or heavy civil construction projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
• Proficiency in construction document control, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Valid California Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work out-of-town for extended periods and work weekends as required.
• Experience with construction document control, including correspondence and progress payments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on USACE projects.
• Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 requirements for safety planning.
