You will function as the Project Engineer on marine or heavy civil construction projects.
Responsibilities
Support enforcement of MSHA, OSHA, Corps of Engineers, and company safety policies.
Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Work onsite to assist superintendent and foremen in executing daily work activities.
Maintain accurate daily logs of crew activities, production quantities, and equipment usage.
Perform progress surveys to verify installation of work and assemble necessary maps.
Required Skills
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of combined experience in Field Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Superintendent, Construction Manager, or Project Manager roles on marine or heavy civil construction projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
Proficiency in construction document control, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Valid California Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to work out-of-town for extended periods and work weekends as required.
Experience with construction document control, including correspondence and progress payments.
Preferred Skills
Experience working on USACE projects.
Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 requirements for safety planning.
