Description

Develop detailed specifications for telecommunications equipment installation in central office or customer premise locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys and field travel for project-related meetings.
• Write detailed installation specifications and prepare technical proposals based on customer requests.
• Select materials to meet project requirements and perform material and labor cost analysis.
• Modify customer drawings and data to suit specific project needs.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, operations, and project management personnel.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of project engineering experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Direct experience working in Central Office environments.
• Proficiency with CAD drawing and editing software.
• Experience with telecommunications infrastructure and equipment engineering.
• Functional knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access.
• Ability to work independently on multiple simultaneous projects.
• Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work according to strict customer standards and practices.

Preferred Skills

• Any Graduate degree in Engineering or related field.
