Description

You will manage the implementation of energy efficiency projects and new energy technology developments within New York State.

Responsibilities

• Manage 10-15 concurrent energy conservation projects involving lighting, HVAC, controls, wastewater treatment, and building envelopes.
• Prepare engineering calculations, cost analyses, estimates, and feasibility audit reports.
• Develop customer installation commitment documents, cost recovery agreements, and engineering specifications.
• Coordinate between contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure construction quality and compliance with state codes.
• Review project activities for technical accuracy, cost control, schedule adherence, and design/construction issue resolution.
• Enforce compliance with hazardous material handling, safety, and environmental procedures.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience in project management.
• Proficiency with office software.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste management.
• Experience with construction supervision.
• Ability to handle job costing and accounting issues.

Preferred Skills

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification.
• Advanced degree in an engineering, scientific, or business discipline.
