Description

You will lead hardware design efforts to deliver technical solutions that meet specific customer requirements for process automation.

Responsibilities

• Review technical specifications for DCS cabinets and design them to meet customer needs.
• Develop cost-effective and technically appropriate hardware solutions.
• Manage cabinet fabrication and testing by working with internal and external panel shops.
• Apply design for excellence concepts, including modeling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.
• Collaborate with supply chain management and evaluate supplier offers against technical specifications.

Required Skills

• 3 to 4 years of experience in Automation Proposals (DCS, ESD, or FGS) for Oil and Gas, Refineries, or Petrochemicals.
• B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with ABB 800xA System, including power, grounding, and field cabling requirements.
• Deep understanding of field wiring typicals for IO signals, equipment, installation, and connection.
• Experience with power-up procedures and site acceptance testing.
• Proficiency in DCS architecture and hardware design.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and work within international, multi-cultural environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ABB Symphony Plus systems.
