Description

Lead hardware design for process automation DCS cabinets, ensuring technical specifications meet customer requirements. You will manage the full lifecycle from design and prototyping to fabrication coordination and site acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

• Review technical specifications and design DCS cabinets to meet specific customer needs.
• Develop cost-effective hardware solutions using design for excellence concepts.
• Manage cabinet fabrication and testing by coordinating with internal teams and external panel shops.
• Collaborate with supply chain management to evaluate supplier offers against technical specifications.
• Apply modeling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations to validate hardware designs.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Automation Proposals (DCS, ESD, or FGS) for Oil and Gas, Refineries, or Petrochemicals.
• Hands-on experience with ABB 800xA System, including power, grounding, and field cabling requirements.
• Deep understanding of field wiring typicals for IO signals, equipment, installation, and connection.
• Proficiency in DCS architecture and hardware design.
• Experience with power-up procedures and site acceptance testing.
• B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and work within international, multi-cultural environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ABB Symphony Plus systems.
