Description

Manage IT accessibility programs to ensure compliance with legal standards and accessibility guidelines. You will oversee the full lifecycle of accessibility initiatives, from planning through remediation.

Responsibilities

• Manage testing and remediation of internet, intranet sites, and software solutions to meet WCAG 2.1 and regulatory requirements.
• Lead cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and designers to execute accessibility projects within scope and budget.
• Develop and implement change management strategies, including communication plans and training, to drive organizational adoption.
• Coordinate activities between the Department, OIT technology teams, and website content contributors.
• Track project performance metrics, budget utilization, and resource allocation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in project management.
• Expertise in project planning, including defining scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Proven ability in budget and resource management.
• Experience with risk management and developing mitigation strategies.
• Strong background in quality assurance and maintaining project quality standards.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1, Section 504/508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and Title II of the ADA.
• Competency in stakeholder engagement and formal communication planning.
• Ability to manage detailed project documentation, charters, and schedules.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with change management execution and resistance assessment.
