Description

You will manage complex, multi-agency environmental projects from initiation to closure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope and objectives by reviewing proposals to determine timelines, funding, and life cycle phases.
• Coordinate and manage projects end-to-end using established project management methodologies.
• Evaluate project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee communication plans and prepare detailed status reports for all stakeholders.
• Manage procurement processes and participate in contract negotiations related to RFPs.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 20 years of experience implementing South Carolina environmental programs in the environmental industry.
• Experience managing large projects with moderate complexity and risk.
• Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
• Knowledge of state government procurement regulations and processes.
• Knowledge of state government fiscal policies, procedures, and processes.
• Ability to interpret and apply environmental rules and regulations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in planning, organizing, and managing strategic and tactical assignments for statewide enterprise and agency-level IT initiatives.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and aligning outcomes with organizational goals.
