Description

Lead the research, analysis, and vendor management required to produce a formal proposal for the future state of digital evidence management within Connecticut's law enforcement community.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders across police departments, the Division of Criminal Justice, the Department of Correction, and the Judicial Branch to document current and future state requirements for body and vehicle camera systems.
• Identify best-of-breed vendors and systems for secure digital evidence storage and seamless integration.
• Design the technical framework for the digital evidence study in coordination with the Infrastructure/Architecture Manager.
• Develop a formal proposal including recommended future state architecture, budget, and implementation schedules.
• Manage the project lifecycle, including resource allocation, task management, and timeline adherence under minimal supervision.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing complex enterprise IT integration projects involving networking infrastructure, databases, and cloud computing.
• Proven experience managing third-party vendors within an IT project environment.
• Direct experience in Justice and Safety at a federal, state, or local government agency level. Background in military intelligence or cyber sectors is acceptable as an equivalent.
• Ability to work with CJIS-CT analysts and product design teams to align technical requirements with stakeholder needs.
• Must be local to Connecticut to support travel to state agencies and municipal police departments.
• Strong ability to coordinate, monitor, and report on activities across multiple public safety entities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working directly with law enforcement agencies on digital evidence management systems.
