Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional project workstreams, governance meetings, and stakeholder forums.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including milestones, timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and ownership.
  • Build a strong understanding of business policies, operational processes, and compliance requirements to effectively manage project execution.
  • Create and maintain project governance artifacts including RACI matrices, RAID logs, action trackers, decision logs, and status reports.
  • Identify project risks and issues proactively, develop mitigation strategies, and manage escalations through resolution.
  • Coordinate activities across internal business units, external partners, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Support external stakeholder coordination by organizing project materials, tracking commitments, and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Drive change management activities including stakeholder engagement, communications planning, training readiness, and implementation support.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and reflects decisions, approvals, and business impacts.
  • Mentor junior project managers and promote project management best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience managing large, complex, multi-workstream projects with executive visibility.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools and governance artifacts including:
    • Project Plans
    • Workplans
    • RAID Logs
    • RACI Matrices
    • Change Control
    • Decision Logs
    • Action Trackers
    • Status Reporting
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing executive-level documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Medicaid, healthcare, managed care, or health and human services programs.
  • Experience working on CMS-related initiatives or federal/state healthcare programs.
  • Knowledge of Section 1115 demonstrations/waivers or similar government program implementations.
  • Familiarity with government operations, regulatory compliance, procurement, or vendor management.
  • PMP or equivalent Project Management certification preferred.
