Description

You will lead complex technical projects involving Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and traffic management infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage multidiscipline project teams and client relationships at county, state, MPO, and Federal levels.
• Oversee planning, systems engineering, design, and procurement for traffic management, signal control, and tolling systems.
• Coordinate project scheduling and tracking using Microsoft Project.
• Manage project documentation and plan reviews using ProjectWise and Bluebeam.
• Deliver technical presentations to clients and public stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in a specialized engineering discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification in your state of residence with ability to obtain reciprocity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with ITS products including sensors, electronic displays, and traffic control equipment.
• Familiarity with MUTCD, NEMA, and NTCIP standards.
• Knowledge of SAE and IEEE standards for V2X communications.
• Experience with Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar plan preparation tools.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and traffic management software.

Preferred Skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP), PTOE, or INCOSE systems engineering certification.
• Experience with standard design, task order, or design-build contracts.
• Familiarity with U.S. National ITS Architecture (ARC-IT) and tools like RAD-IT or SET-IT.
