Description

Lead end-to-end project execution for product development and production within the defence sector.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans including tendering, vendor finalization, timelines, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and R&D teams to achieve technical milestones and manage cross-functional delivery.
• Liaise with government agencies (DRDO), Armed Forces, and external stakeholders to secure approvals and facilitate Memorandums of Understanding.
• Manage risk assessments, issue resolution, change management, and contract development throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee user trials, induction plans, and post-deployment operational management, ensuring compliance with defence protocols and safety standards.

Required Skills

• 20+ years of experience in Project, Operation, or Contract Management, preferably in defence, aerospace, or high-tech sectors.
• Proven expertise in leading cross-functional teams through complex product development cycles and production.
• Strong background in defence procurement processes, including preparation of responses to RFIs, RFPs, and EoIs.
• Experience coordinating field/user trials and managing relationships with OEMs and end-users.
• Ability to develop operational readiness plans, induction schedules, and training aids for system rollout.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics), Project Management, or Military Technology.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Defence or paramilitary organizations and military application product lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as MIL-STD, ISO, JSS, and JSG.
