You will manage components of highly complex and visible IT projects and program initiatives.
Responsibilities
Manage all phases of large and complex technical projects using established project management methodologies and governance processes.
Maintain and manage timelines for multiple concurrent projects to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
Identify project risks and issues, proactively developing and executing mitigation and resolution plans.
Collaborate with end-users, key stakeholders, and internal IT teams to gather requirements and provide status updates.
Coordinate with vendors regarding the implementation and delivery of contract deliverables.
Required Skills
7+ years of experience managing all phases of large, complex technical projects.
7+ years of experience creating and maintaining project artifacts including timelines, risk and issue logs, communication plans, and stakeholder registers.
7+ years of experience with general IT SDLC processes.
7+ years of experience identifying and managing project risks and issues.
7+ years of experience gathering requirements from business divisions and educating staff on standardized processes.
7+ years of experience in implementing Enterprise Systems Integration.
6+ years of experience leading large IT initiatives and managing team cohesiveness during contract transitions.
6+ years of experience managing large, cross-functional internal and vendor teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting to executive-level staff and peers.
Preferred Skills
Experience with one or more Texas state government agencies.
PMP certification, virtualization, or networking technology certifications.
5+ years of experience with Application Development & Maintenance (ADM), ERP contracts, or Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping.
