You will manage end-to-end project lifecycles, timelines, and resource allocation for IT initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project work plans and timelines.
- Oversee vendor project teams and ensure appropriate resource allocation.
- Ensure timely submission of all deliverables, reports, and change requests.
- Serve as the escalation point for project-related issues and risks.
- Coordinate regular status meetings with stakeholders and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Manage project budget, resource utilization, and subcontractor coordination.
- Ensure compliance with all security and operational requirements.
Required Skills
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience.
- 3+ years managing IT projects within public sector or educational institutions.
- Proficiency with MS Project and other project management tools.
- Experience with governance frameworks and IT strategic planning processes.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability for emergency communication during off-hours.
Preferred Skills
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience with large-scale IT transformation projects and educational technology environments.
- Knowledge of NYC government contracting processes.
