Description

You will manage end-to-end project lifecycles, timelines, and resource allocation for IT initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project work plans and timelines.
  • Oversee vendor project teams and ensure appropriate resource allocation.
  • Ensure timely submission of all deliverables, reports, and change requests.
  • Serve as the escalation point for project-related issues and risks.
  • Coordinate regular status meetings with stakeholders and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
  • Manage project budget, resource utilization, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with all security and operational requirements.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 7 years of project management experience.
  • 3+ years managing IT projects within public sector or educational institutions.
  • Proficiency with MS Project and other project management tools.
  • Experience with governance frameworks and IT strategic planning processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability for emergency communication during off-hours.

Preferred Skills

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience with large-scale IT transformation projects and educational technology environments.
  • Knowledge of NYC government contracting processes.
