Description

You will lead project execution and vendor coordination for IT initiatives within public sector or educational environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project work plans, timelines, and resource utilization tracking.
• Oversee vendor teams and subcontractors to ensure appropriate resource allocation and deliverable submission.
• Manage project budgets and serve as the primary escalation point for risks and issues.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes.
• Submit weekly status reports and monthly roll-up reports while ensuring compliance with security and operational requirements.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of project management experience.
• 3+ years managing IT projects specifically within public sector or educational institutions.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project.
• Experience working within governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of IT strategic planning processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Availability for emergency communication during off-hours.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing large-scale IT transformation projects.
• Knowledge of educational technology environments and NYC government contracting processes.
